Soft Launch Success

Last week, Hoose hosted a small gathering at The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum. This was our first opportunity to share what we’ve been up to physically, with the people who have been part of our journey. It wasn’t about presenting a finished product, but a chance to open up a new way of thinking about homes, how they are designed, how they are built, and how they shape the way we live.

We chose The Smith Art Gallery and Museum deliberately; it created a space to slow down, to look more closely, and to consider how something has been made. For us, that felt like the right context for a conversation about homes, not simply as structures, but as environments that influence how we feel and connect to the world around us.

At the centre of the evening was a small sample build, which helped make our approach tangible. Regenerative design can often feel abstract, but it begins with materials, with how things are put together, and with the decisions made at each stage. Being able to stand alongside it and talk through it together brought a different depth to the conversation.

Our work is grounded in a land-to-living approach, considering the full journey from land and design through to construction and life in the home. It is also rooted in Scotland, drawing on traditional building principles, local materials, and a close relationship to place.

More than anything, the evening was about people, bringing together collaborators, partners, and friends to share ideas and begin conversations that will shape what comes next. This was a starting point, a chance to share how we are thinking and what we are working towards.

Thank you to everyone who joined us.
