Code of Ethics
This Code of Ethics sets out the standards that guide how decisions are made at Hoose, whether commercial, technical, or interpersonal. It reflects how we expect to behave, how we work with others, and how we hold ourselves accountable.
Honesty sits at the centre of this approach. We communicate clearly and truthfully about cost, programme, risk, performance, and limitations. Sustainability claims are made carefully and responsibly, without exaggeration or greenwashing, and uncertainty is never concealed.
Ethical decision making means choosing what is right, even when it is slower, more complex, or commercially uncomfortable. Short-term gain is never prioritised over long-term responsibility, safety, or trust.
Respect and inclusion underpin all working relationships. Clients, colleagues, contractors, neighbours, and partners are treated with dignity, fairness, and professionalism, regardless of background or role. We value diverse perspectives and believe strong outcomes are built on mutual respect.
Professional responsibility is taken seriously. We operate within our competence, seek specialist input where appropriate, and challenge practices that are unsafe, misleading, or unethical. Concerns are raised constructively and addressed openly.
All Hoose team members and representatives are expected to comply with UK law, regulations, and relevant professional standards. Conflicts of interest must be avoided or declared transparently. Confidential and personal information is protected at all times. Anyone who becomes aware of unethical behaviour is encouraged to speak up, without fear of retaliation.
Breaches of this Code may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts, or legal escalation where appropriate. The purpose of this Code, however, is not enforcement alone, but to provide a clear framework for acting with integrity, consistency, and care.
