The Table That Started It All

This table is part of Hoose’s history; it’s the table where Hoose began. A large wooden family kitchen table, worn in the way things are when they’re used every day - a place for meals, conversations, and time spent together.

During Covid, after a meal between our two founders and their families, the conversation moved beyond talk of how the construction industry should be doing better in terms of the quality of product, the impact on the environment, people’s health and wellbeing, transparency with customers, and the longevity of the homes we build, into something more focused. Over the course of that evening, the idea that would become Hoose began to take shape.

Around the table, Hoose took its first real steps as a shared commitment to explore better ways of building homes and to see where those questions might lead.

We’re still early on in the journey, but the table remains part of our story, a reminder that Hoose was founded at home, through conversation, shared values, and the belief that building well starts with how we live.
